The short version

This policy covers the duo app and duo.dodohub.app, operated by DodoHub LLC (“we,” “us”). duo is an independent Nintendo DS emulator made for iPhone Duo.

What stays on your device

duo stores imported game files, save data, library information, downloaded cover artwork, and preferences in its app storage. Preferences include your appearance and haptic settings. duo does not upload your game files or saves to DodoHub.

When you choose a file using the system Files picker, duo reads and copies that selected file into its library. If the file comes from iCloud Drive or another file provider, that provider handles its own download and storage under its own policies.

Device or iCloud backups may include app data according to your Apple settings. Downloaded cover artwork is marked as excluded from backups. duo does not operate a separate cloud-sync service.

Automatic cover artwork

duo reads a game identifier from the imported file on your device and matches it against an artwork catalog included with the app. If a match is found and the artwork is not already cached, duo downloads the corresponding image from the libretro-thumbnails collection hosted at raw.githubusercontent.com.

The request includes the catalog’s artwork filename, which can identify the game title. GitHub also receives the connection information needed to serve that request, such as your IP address. The game file itself is not uploaded. Downloaded artwork is cached locally to avoid downloading it repeatedly.

GitHub’s handling of this request is covered by the GitHub General Privacy Statement. Cover artwork belongs to its respective copyright holders.

When you visit this website

This site does not include advertising trackers, analytics scripts, third-party fonts, or embedded social media. Its theme and fold previews run in your browser without sending those interactions to us. We do not set marketing or analytics cookies.

Our intended hosting provider is Cloudflare. When the site is served through Cloudflare, it processes technical request information, such as IP address, requested page, browser information, and request time, to deliver and protect the site. Security features may use necessary cookies. These infrastructure processes are separate from the duo app. See Cloudflare’s Privacy Policy for its practices.

When you contact us

If you email contact-duo@dodohub.app, we receive your email address, the contents of your message, and any attachments you send. We use this information to respond, troubleshoot, and maintain the conversation. Your email service and ours process those messages to deliver them.

Please don’t send game files, passwords, or unrelated personal information. We retain support correspondence only as needed to address your request, keep necessary support records, or meet legal obligations. You can ask us to delete a conversation.

We do not sell your personal information or use it for cross-context behavioral advertising. Service providers may process information to operate the website or handle support, and information may be disclosed where required by law. These services may process information in countries other than your own.

Your choices and control

• Local app data: manage imported games in duo. Deleting the app removes its local app container; backups and original files elsewhere are controlled separately through your device or file provider.
• Network requests: previously imported games do not need cover artwork downloads to run. Using the app without a network connection prevents new artwork downloads.
• Support information: email us to request access, correction, or deletion of personal information you have sent us. We may need to verify your request before acting.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights, including restricting or objecting to processing, receiving a copy of your information, or contacting your local data-protection authority. Where applicable, we rely on our legitimate interests in operating a secure website and responding to support requests, and on legal obligations where required. Contact us to exercise your rights or ask about our handling of your information.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through an app account or profile; duo has neither. If a child has sent us personal information by email, a parent or guardian can contact us to request its deletion.

If things change

We will update this page when the app or our practices change and revise the date above. Material changes will be explained here or in the app as appropriate.
